As a news cameraman I am occasionally requested to visit some potentially hostile locations. When I do I have an obligation to stay in GPS contact with the HQ news desk. When Ukraine became a regular destination I was very glad to have found the Meili tracker, and have been using only it ever since. It's been straightforward to use, reliable, excellent battery life and therefore I can leave it to be doing it's thing in the background whilst I get on with travelling and filming. It's been easy for the news desk as well to know where I am, which is the important bit. Photos below are from a previous trip to Ukraine, with one of the original units. They are now smaller and better!

I buy the Meili GPS tracker for my hiking trip. My family worry when I go alone, but with this, they can see where I am in the app. The battery is very good, last all my trip, and I don’t need to charge. My phone lose signal in some places, but Meili still work. I feel more safe with the SOS button, but I don’t need to use it. It is small, easy to carry, and help me feel more confident in nature. I will take it always in my trips!

I bought a Meili tracker for a hiking holiday to Scotland. I like to use my phone for photos and often have it in airplane mode to save battery. Even with a battery pack I can't make my phone last a week!
I set my family up on the Meili app so they could monitor me remotely and see my route. The battery lasted all week and reported my location every 3 mins. Happily didn't have to use the SOS button but it was nice to know it was there! Also impressed that the Meili tracker got connectivity in places my phone couldn't. Overall, really happy with it and will take Meili with me wherever I go!

We use Meili GPS to add a layer of security to our DofE expeditions. It's important to give the children as much freedom as possible and since like most other schools we don't allow phones we use these to make sure we know where each group is at all times. The SOS button works really well and they work everywhere we have tested them so far. Rural Oxfordshire, north Wales, The Brecons , the New Forest and the lakes.

Even when there is no emergency it's really useful to be able to see how groups are progressing around their chosen route so we can be sure to have staff on hand at checkpoints at the right time. And when groups get lost we can go and intercept them and post them back in the right direction.

The battery lasts at least a week and we have them set at 3 min updates. Not sure how long in total as they have never run out but I would guess a couple of weeks.
